Killed For Being My Babies

I have been breeding freshwater snails for quite some time now. I started last year around August and I fell in love with the critters. They have this vulnerable look about them that I rarely see nowadays.

They were initially meant for market consumption after I lost my job five (5) years ago due to the BLOODSUCKERS around me. Despite myself, I found these beady-eyed, half-armadillo, half-cow looking “sliders” too adorable to eat anymore. I was having a dilemma back then until I figured that I would breed them both for consumption and for ornamental purposes too.

But as usual, the NIGGERS of Mount Doom, had to come crawling back with more vengeance, as if SCREWING MY JOB and FINANCES weren’t ABUSIVE and DEPLORABLE ENOUGH.

They started by killing my market-bought wild snails, with the help of an inside job. The snails were suddenly dying one after another despite better, if not optimal, water conditions (thinned overnight or for 24 hours and changed almost everyday as I can’t afford a water filter then) with added calcium. But despite my efforts of late-night internet research while keeping watch over the dying ones hoping they would recover - they all just kept dying like falling leaves.

It was probably out of fear that they will get annihilated and their loved ones (if they even know what that means) that these “neighbors” from hell started admitting by saying aloud on many occasions that they are the culprits. That is, of course, not without the help of an insider.

I have been living with no one else but my aging mother (of 80 years) in this small unit of a room for more than seven (7) years now. There could be no shadow of a doubt as to who it could possibly be. Not to mention the many instances she acted out (like a looney) whenever a snail died for UNKNOWN or UNEXPLAINABLE (or HIGHLY UNHEARD OF) reasons. What I meant by unexplainable reason is more towards the realm of the VERY SUSPICIOUS rather than the UNKNOWN.

I am referring to the large breaks on my snails’ shells causing rapid health decline or instant death; sudden bloating or swelling making feeding impossible and eventually causing death if they can’t recover fast enough despite treatment; and the SADISTS’ favorite which is DEATH by ABRASION wherein the bottom-part of the snail (belly or cone side) were rapidly scrubbed against a rough surface or lowered into some acid solution until that part of the shell melted. The resulting infection on the exposed part often led to a SLOW DEATH.
